Loved our day at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center. My 7 year year old granddaughter had so much fun. The entrance fee is about the same as going to a movie. The staff are wonderful and helpful. I will definitely visit again.

Great spot for young and old alike. This research center has lots of good information for the adults and touch tanks and aquarium tanks for the young. the whale skeleton outside gives great perspective on these giant mammals. Our 3.5 year old grandson loved it.

This aquarium is perfect for preschool to 4th grade children or people who don't want to be in an enormous crowd at the Monterey Aquarium. The exhibits are marvelous. I have taken first and second grade classes here and in combo with Natural Bridges, it's...More

This avenue is awesome for holiday parties. Can't go wrong with the most gorgeous view of the ocean and Christmas lights at night. One can see Monterey and power plant lights across the ocean and puts you in a festive mood.

We visited here during our PCH travels from LA to SF. We were not disappointed! Facility is a smaller university research center where cheery volunteers/students are eager to help our young ones experience the center's marine life! Interactive 'search and win prize activity' had our...More

Small, well-curated and well-made interpretative center for local Monterey Bay marine life. Two large whale skeletons outside and a path to walk along the cliffs make this a free visit if you don't have money to pay to enter. Great views.

We went on a weekday that we found out it was free to get in but I probably would not pay to go there. They had a few small touch stations that my kids loved and they let us pet a baby shark which was...More

This was a smaller Marine center, but had a couple of touch tanks and 3 large aquariums divided into several smaller tanks to observe marine life. May be more interesting with a research center, but the volunteers didnt know what we were talking about when...More

My wife, a friend and I stopped here when we had some spare time in Santa Cruz. We enjoyed the displays and the opportunity to touch the denticles of a shark and be "eaten" by a sea anemone. It's well worth a couple of hours.

Hi, the Blue Whale skeleton is 87 feet long. It's one of only 4 Blue Whale skeletons on display in North America.
