I can't really say much because they were closed. There are some cool fossils of whales outside but that was all we got to see.

This was one of our favorite places. Because it is part of UCSC it is only $6.00 admission. My 14 year old loved it. we went almost every day. Nice gift shop. Petted sharks. We held star fish that were purple, blue, red, orange. We played with anenome and hermit crab. They also told us where to go to see... More

A favorite of the grandkids and local schools. Very accessible and some nice hands-on exhibits. Can easily do in an hour or two.

Kids and adults really enjoyed the exhibits. The blue whale skeleton is great to see, as were the tanks.

Lots of interesting information about whales. Definitely go on the tour. Totally worth it because the tour is free. The thing to know is that they are undergoing major remodeling and all the live exhibits have been moved off-site.

I learned about starfish in particular because the docent was very informative. The displays are well labelled and young people appropriate. Some upgrading is in progress.

The center was a little precarious to get to due to construction, but worth it. Eat before you go as there are no restaurants close by and the only good they have are granola bars. Very informative exhibits on sea otters and peregrine falcons. Some interesting live exhibits on crabs and native fish. My daughter spent a lot of time... More
