This is on the scenic drive. It is closed on mon tues and wed so plan accordingly. You can still read some of the plaques outside that talk about surfing and wildlife. The surfers were out in full force and were fun to watch.

The museum is small though contains interesting information on how surfing evolved straight from the 1960s. The walk upto the museum is all the way over a seaside cliff and you can see surfers in the waters below. You can also view the famed steamer...More

Cute little stop along the Westcliff Drive. This little lighthouse has some sweet old boards, nifty pictures and a great history for free!

This is such a tiny, fun museum that honors the surfing history, brought by Hawaiian men in the 1800's! Sadly, it is only open Thurs. thru Sunday, so hopefully you can plan around the closing days and see this on the weekend.

We returned for a short visit to the surfer's museum. We were there on a beautiful sunny day in February. We were there on a day where lots of surfers were visiting as well.

Wandered into this museum while walking on West Cliff Drive. I think it is a converted light house, it has a history of surfing and interesting pictures of surfing through the decades. Only takes a few minutes but was well worth the stop.

This is a converted lighthouse right next to the surfing pipeline. It has old handmade surfboards. It tells the history of surfing in California. I really enjoyed it and it is free. I recomend seeing this.
