a lovely tree to be sure but I did not stop just drove by via trolley , so don't recommend a long visit but worth a drive by look

Blooming, bodacious, humongous, and gorgeous. First thing one sees getting off the train in Santa Barbara. When you walk the pier, have chowder at Brophys, do detour several blocks to view the tree. The roots are huge. It deserves to be a Santa Barbara landmark.

You suddenly feel very small standing next to this old, humongous fig tree. It's worth a look if you are in the area just to take some pictures and see how sprawled out it is. The roots are pretty interesting too! Tree huggers will love...More
