This is a short tour that is worth taking the time to see. It is free and right on State Street. I enjoyed it.

Lots of nice snippets of Reagan history here, artifacts and memorabilia, too. You can walk with a docent or on your own. We chose on our own. We were both put off a bit by the docents, who all went a step being being helpful / to shadowing folks - and one gentleman docent actually had a very loud, booming... More

Very interesting regardless of your politics. I was trying to get photos and information to help an A Level History group. They were very obliging giving me postcards leaflets and allowing as many photos as I wished. You get an idea of the man and an insight into how his life pervaded his politics.

If you are a Republican and share the adoration of Ronald Reagan, you will no dout find something to enjoy in this center on lower State St., near the waterfront and train station.

Visit to Center was an unexpected treat. Many items from ranch including Reagan's jeep. Excellent interactive exhibits, displays, and voice recordings. The excellent approx 25 minute documentary on Reagan really provides insight into who reagan was and how he thought about things and what his philosophy was. Highly recommended and worth the time.

Reagan was not my favorite - I went hoping for a historic glimpse of an fascinating era of global politics and found a very biased propaganda experience. Not historically accurate in any sense of the word. But if you loved Reagan (ugh) you will find this fictionalized version of history quite enjoyable.

The Reagan Ranch Center is an excellent facility with an abundance of brief interactive learning activities with no admission fee. It's owned and operated by the Young Americas Foundation but there was absolutely no pressure to make a donation. This center is a 'must see' for those who are interested in Ronald Reagan and his love for the ranch. Note... More

What a wonderful two hours we spent here. Parking in front. The gentleman who gave us the tour was so informative and kind. We had no idea what to expect, but loved it. Reagans' ranch was incredible, and the stories of all the visitors and their life there was heartwarming. The ranch itself is no longer open to the public,... More

We went through here on our last trip to Santa Barbara. It was very interesting, whether you were a fan of Reagan and no matter what you party affiliation. They have limited admission times so check before going.
