Disappointed, expected artisan shops, something a bit different and appropriate to Santa Barbara, tacky, tourist stuff, ice cream and a few restaurants

Great location, but somehow is over hyped. A few restaurants, nothing special, but reasonable value. Some shops selling usual seaside tat. Overall, somewhat lacking.

This is a very touristy place with souvenir shops that offer the usual range of T-shirts, jewellery, hats, etc. There are also some restaurants here (a bit pricey) that seem to specialize in sea food. You can drive out on the pier and park. If...More

We spent an afternoon hanging out on Stearns Wharf. Great views of Santa Barbara and the harbor from here. We watched some dolphins and sea lions playing in the surf too. We stopped and did a wine tasting and enjoyed shopping in the different beach...More

We were just in Santa Barbara for one day, but knew we wanted to see the wharf. It was such a beautiful day and just walking along enjoying the ocean breeze was great.

This is a supreme tourist trap! It’s overcrowded and tacky. There are so many better restaurants and beach views elsewhere in town. Skip this.

We went on a Monday at about 5 o'clock and were able to drive down and park at the end of the wharf. One and half hours free parking and then you play. Just sat and watched the boats come in, people fishing and the...More

Have you ever driven on a pier? Would you like to? How fun it is to be able to drive onto a solid wooden plank over the ocean, park, then wander wondrously as you selectively shop, meander with marine mammals and maybe do a little...More

This is standard pier that extends out into the ocean. You can also park at the end. Though it was packed the day we went there. While we didn’t eat there, there are a number of options for dining there if you need a feed.

Very nice and clean with a couple of shops and restaurants. Maybe because it's burnt down so darn many times - last time 1998, but everything rebuilt. It's a nice stroll and the food at the restaurants is good too.

This is my very first visit so I couldn't say if this is the one but there was none or very few vendors at the beginning of the board walk leading up the pier

I have seen pets on the pier, but there's no place for them to do their business so you'll want to see to that first! I'm not positive the souvenir shops would allow them, but there are outdoor cafes where they could join... More
