A visit here convinced me that I must return soon and do the entire mission trail in California. This is one of the most comprehensive and in better shape than many but the history of settling California is fascinating. If you go, pay the extra couple bucks and take a guided tour. The guides add so much more to the... More

This was an interesting place to visit. There was a lot of history explained about the mission and the Chumash Indians. There is a short film about the mission which is very informative.

I visited the old Mission last week with my family. It was fairly decent as something to do for a couple of hours. The church was very different than the ones I've seen before. The view from the mission looking into the sea was beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the drive to and from the mission into state street.

This is a very interesting mission. It has many original areas the are taken good care of. Very interesting exhibits. There is an informative short film about the background of the mission. The grounds are beautiful and we'll kept. The display about the damage from earthquakes and the subsequent rebuilding was outstanding. This is one to see.

Worth seeing. Nice church but not spectacular. Faux painting on the walls and ceiling. Attended a wonderful Mass with a wonderful priest.

Loved learning the rich history of the mission, as well as seeing first-hand the intricate details in the architecture made by the Chumash Indians.

The parishioners and clergy at the Mission were very friendly and accommodating. My father-in-law was in a wheelchair and they made sure he was able to go to Communion.

We stopped by the Santa Barbara Mission on a whim while driving home from a weekend trip. The mission is very nice, one of the better of the California Missions we have visited. Wonderful grounds, nice buildings, very good displays. Well worth the trip.
