Worth the stop. Friendly folks at the desk and great architecture. The mural room is beautiful. Stop and see it in person

walk up to the top to see the views from the tower. If the courtroom with murals is open stop in to see the walls covered with murals depicting the history of the area.

We only had a few hours to spend in Santa Barbara when we cruised from Vancouver to Los Angeles and the courthouse was at the top of my list to see. We just took the city transit and didn’t take a tour. We walked from...More

A interesting building with a pretty garden. However the highlight was climbing the clocktower to see how the clock works and then admiring the view over the city.

Huge early Spanish colonial style multistory building that dominates the city skyscape in a pleasant way. Large green spaces surrounding it. This is what California public buildings should look like!

Inside the actual court room is a wonderful mural showing the arrival of the Spanish to this area. The view from the clock tower gives one a clear view of the entire town. In the grassy area behind the court house there are movies shown...More

I live here and ALWAYS take my visitors here and also suggest it to folks on the street. Beautiful building and a majestic view from the clock tower. Many fine details throughout the building

I can't remember for sure, but since it is a public building in use every day as a courthouse I am pretty sure it opens at least by 9 am.
