I think the signs were missing because we looked all over for this beach and never found it, but found several ticks in the process!

I enjoyed my visit to the Jade Cove on a relaxed Monday afternoon. There was nobody else around I spent two hours exploring the trail. Certain stretches of the trail are not easily passable due to the plants, but do make it through, the view at the end of the trail is rewarding.

I was intrigued by all the jade for sale in Big Sur and was insisted we stop to find some of our own. It's not that easy! the cove was not marked, the trail led to a steep cliff and it took us a while to find a place to get down. And then we were not sure what we... More

The place has a mysteriously beautiful vibe to it. When we went there in Sept it was foggy and a bit cold...man was it nice tho. My wife and i just walked around aimlessly in awe...maybe thats why we didn't find any jade...oh well...still killer.

The cove is on the south end of the beach. There are laws against picking jade above the mean tide line. But, just walk the beach, carefully, and you're bound to find a piece you'll take home to share with your friends who didn't make the trip with you.

If you ilk untouched beauty that showcases the best that Central California has to offer. If you want shops and amenities, don't come here.

The locals kept stealing the signs for Jade Beach, and besides, they got gobbled up into San Simeon. Walk the beach and look for large natural jade stones wasked down from the local mountains. Craft shops do work in jade and shells, other seaside materials.

fantastic view. we arrived around sunset and the view and drive is a must see when visiting the Calif. coast. There are many stops along the way. In the evening it might be best to be heading south because the sun could be in your eyes

finally stopped here to explore after driving by countless times. the trail down is short but a little steep towards the end, use the ropes in place to help you get down. The cove itself is small and looking for Jade is a little difficult, having to move rocks and dig around quite a bit due to large quantities of... More

This was a nice beach that wasn't to crowded. The only problem was the trail on the way to the beach was infested with ticks. We found five of them on us when we were leaving.
