I took some nice photos, there is a boardwalk to the beach. Most importantly there is wide open coastal access and the mcmansions are back from the street.... I didn't see the many stones for which the beach is famous, but there is a nice...More

If you go during low tide you can find gorgeous rocks, shells, and driftwood on this beach. It isn't too crowded. A lovely place to walk or sit and contemplate life.

I love stopping by this beach for a little unwinding from the stresses of the world. The area is often pretty empty, so you get a great experience connecting with nature. Lots of birds, beautiful blue colors, and gorgeous crazy colorful stones to massage your...More

Beautiful place tucked away along the coastal road from Cambria to San Simeon. Accessible beach and plenty of space to roam.

Fun place to see some beautiful rocks! Kids had a blast exploring and seeing if they could find some hidden treasures on the sand.

This is a great area of the coast. It has a waling path along the bluffs with educational signs so you can learn about the local inhabitants. There's a beach and tide pools appear during low tide.

I honestly had no idea what I was supposed to be looking for because I didn't research moonstones prior to my visit. We found a lot of beautiful little rocks in a wide variety of colors, though no moon stones. The beach area is clean...More

I don't think you'd want to do that at right at Moonstone Beach. There is pretty high currents and undertow around the very rocky shoreline. Go a couple miles north to the beach located right by the Cavalier hotel. They... More
