We were looking for something to occupy our kids during a visit to SLO. Avila Valley Barn is relatively close to town and easy to get to. It's not as big as we expected, the fresh fruit and vegetable selection was fairly small. However, there...More

My husband and I just visited. Beautiful little place. The animals are tame and so much fun to pet. Produce is freshly picked. Colors everywhere. It's like a little piece of heaven was picked out of the sky and given to us. So lovely! 💕

Over priced produce, apple juice not worth the price, staff rude, take it or leave it attitude. Apples seemed waxed and bruised tasted just like the kind in supper markets (little flavor) other produce in sad shape.

You can browse the candy and ice cream shop, the gift shop, the jams, jellies, pies and don't forget to pick out one of the outstanding cobblers! Goats are outdoors for animal lovers.

Music. Petting zoo. Fresh air. Tractor rides. Wonderful fresh food and baked goods. This is a great place for a family outing. My only complaint is the prices are a little higher than I'd like. But I highly recommend a visit.

Can be crowded on weekends. Definitely worth going. The produce and pies are wonderful. Kids can feed the many farm animals then get an ice cream cone. A real gem near Avila beach.

Lots of choices! Fresh! Great atmosphere! Sure, it's pricey, but do you have a market like this where you live?

Yes - for the most part. Store certainly; animal farm area is outside - so dirt.
