This charming historical theater is a throw back to the 1940s. I have been visiting Morro Bay and the surrounding areas for most of my life, yet admittedly, I had never been to this theater. I took my niece and my girls to go see a newly released movie here. As you walk up to the theater you see the... More

See what theaters were like back in the 1950's and 1960's. We've lived here a long time and always loved the Fremont.

This is a big retro movie theatre that also hosts live concerts. We saw Ziggy Marley here, 8th row center. It was super cool! It reminded me of the old movie theaters we watched movies in years and years ago, like "The Alien" back in the early 80's! This theatre is in the heart of the downtown area so there's... More

Great place to see a movie. Lots of character, warmth and charm! This is a great place to see a film on the big screen.

From the sweeping vertical pink-ish marquee to the old-style snack bar and the neon-lighted swirly ceiling inside, this theatre harkens back to the heyday of movie theatres- when going to the movies was more important than what was showing onscreen. It's not too hard to imagine someone like Spencer Tracy with a young ingenue in a gown, walking down one... More

I was traveling with my 14 old which is a challenge. Those golden years have passed. Now she merely tolerates her mom. The first signs of excitement came across her face when we were walking through the downtown area and she saw "The Fault in Our Stars" was playing. I was excited that she was excited! The Fremont is a... More

The theater was very intriguing as an historical place to see. Once inside, we saw that the old theater is just that and very run down. The price was way too high. $21.00 for 2 people.

It's a very old theatre with narrow winding dark halls to get to the right movie room. The atmosphere adds to your movie experience and just makes it more fun!
