Escape from the race

Ranch club is a great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the day. Great outdoor seating with wonderful views of the golf course and valley.

Very difficult course to play. Distance and precision are a must. Bunkers hard as regular soil. C'mon people, add sand. Greens 80% 👌, since they were worked on back in September. Friendly staff. Awesome views of San Jose. Will play again on my next visit to the area.

Interesting track...on almost every non par 3 hole you have to think is this the best club to hit right now. The course is tight and good luck finding your ball if you don't keep it in play. Bad news is I lost 5 balls, good news is I found 9 balls. Not sure if they ever let carts on... More

I love this course, it dares you to go for it and will reward a great shot. However, if you miss, it's going to hurt. Know your distances and play within your game. Pride can kill you on this course. Make sure to watch the flags to check the wind. I just wish the had a food stand at the... More

What an unexpected adventure. I had never heard of this course but decided to give it a try. There were many available tee times & the rate was pretty low (which is a plus but could mean the opposite). Fortunately this course plays fast & the holes are challenging. Great value for a good course. Very hilly & scenic with... More

Hadn't played here since the course originally opened and the place looked. A fabulous club house with best bay view in Silicon Valley. The course is still crazy challenging. If you don't hit straight, be prepared to lose balls or bring a bag of "cheappy" balls. If you want a see how your game is progressing, then this will be... More

This is one of the most challenging golf courses in the Bay Area. I've never played a course with the elevation changes one experiences at The Ranch. Bring lots of balls as this is target golf at it's best. Lots of good Internet deals, just watch for them

This is one of those courses that people either love or hate. Although it eats me up and spits me out, I keep coming back here because I love the challenge, scenery and value. It simply has some spectacular holes, with a few that are probably the toughest in northern California (#2, #8, & #12 in particular if playing back... More

I lived right near this course when we lived out in CA and I took all our out of town visitors here for a round. Really beautiful, challenging course built into the mountainside. Very nice place.

This course is not for beginners. Bring lots of balls. It is very hilly with forced carries and precise landing areas. You will use everything you have in your bag to come up with a decent score. That said, the views are outstanding. On a clear day, you can see all the way to San Francisco. Sometimes it is hard... More
