I arrived late but the staff was nice enough to let me take the tour anyway. The house is interesting and well kept. I didnt note anything strange about my presence there but I still had fun. It is definitely a weird home, with really odd rooms. The gift store is also neat, there is alot to see there too.... More

This house is beyond amazing!! While I wished I could've taken some photos inside the house, the photos wouldn't of done it any justice. While it was a little weird, there were some rooms in there that were very beautiful. Our tour guide was amazing and made the house even more interesting than it was and I thought that wouldn't... My husband and I enjoyed the flashlight haunted house tour on Friday 13th led by James Van Praagh and our tour guides. It is such an amazing home to witness. You'll see beautiful historic rooms with amazing stained glass, antiques, gorgeous woodwork, stories of the Winchesters and their servants, with so many rooms, you could very easily get lost. It... Lived in San Jose 10 years before making my way to the Mystery House, should have done it sooner. It's a great tour and some amazing history and insights to learn. Steep price - but for a one-time visit, I'd still say it's worth it.

I had never heard of this place before. I took my 9 YR old with me on a business trip to San Jose. A friend mentioned this idea. It was very cool and blew my mind. I was surprised more people haven't heard of this. I have been telling all my friends the story behind this mystical house

For people who likes architecture and mysterious stories, this is a good place to visit. There are many unexpected rooms or spaces. If you want to be scared, you will be disappointed. Nothing like haunted houses in Disneyland or Universal Studio. However, the ticket is kind of expensive. It costs $36 (not including tax) for an hour tour of the... More

The tour is a bit pricey, but the story behind the house and its owner is very interesting. Mrs Winchester certainly put a lot of time and effort into the design and building of her quirky house, she implemented many things that modern houses are still using. The house and grounds were beautifully decorated for the holidays, just a shame... More
