Just like the rest of this area, the trails are some of the most fantastic around!! The scenery you will see from the many advantage points is awesome. Get out and see for yourself!!!

This is a large park with some steep hiking trails that is a microcosm of early California, as one of the biggest early industries, it helped accelerate the gold rush

Almaden Quicksilver offers alot of nice hiking and good trail running options if you live in the south bay area. Bring a hat, most of the trails do not offer much shade, also keep in mind that many places in this park lose cell service,...More

Quicksilver is the old term for mercury, which was used extensively to extract silver and gold from ore. New Almaden supplied the Gold Rush. The building has exceptionally fine Victorian furniture, donated by Daughters of the American Revolution. When I visit a museum like this,...More
