Went there on a Saturday, $15 to park. Plenty of spots, lots of campers there too. You walk down an incline to the beach. You have to cross the railroad tracks but it is safe. Walk to the left (south) to some great surf spots....More

The beach in San Clemente is clearly the draw. It is lovely. It is fun to watch the young people surfing. There is a great path along the beach that allows you to walk for miles. You feel like "The Endless Summer" when you are...More

Loved hanging out in this little beach town. Personable, quaint, and beautiful! MUST visit and stay awhile. NOT like your average tourist beaches, this is definitely more of a locals hang out!

Clean, quiet, nice beach. Our photographer picked this location just under the pier to take pictures and I was impressed by the area. Parking wasn't expensive and it is right by the beach so you don't have to walk far. It was nice.

Beach is nice and being from the East coast my family and I enjoyed the beach. Del March beach down south is better though and less seaweed.

This is a nice stretch of beach, but it does tend to be more rocky than some we visited in the area.

I don't remember any signs or mentions in the park's brochures about pool floats, so I believe that you can enjoy your use of pool floats during your stay.

Yes dogs are allowed on the beach trails and also the salt creek beach trail in Dana Point. Most beaches are somewhat dog friendly (Google rules and look for signs) to some degree in the OC. Officially off leash dog beaches... More
