Toured the premises here a few months earlier for a potential wedding site. Very nice grounds and spectacular views. The couple ultimately chose another location for their ceremony (I was the marriage official) over my suggestion, and wound up at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Would strongly prefer this site having viewed multiple wedding points thru the years.

Casa Romantica is a lovely place that has it all. The views of the ocean and surrounding areas are wonderful. The history of San Clemente and the influence of the Nixon era are well presented. There is always an interesting art exhibit and terrific programs throughout the year. The gardens are a bonus.

It was recommended by a local that we stop here to see the historical home of the city's founder and architect, and the building was architecturally beautiful. If you love history, you'll also appreciate the pictures and postings throughout. Even if you don't, the views are fabulous. The tour is only $5 and doesn't take very long.. But the fee... More

Beautiful home and grounds overlooking the ocean. The museum has permanent exhibits as well as visiting displays. The permanent exhibits focus on the history of San Clemente. The life and vision of San Clemente's founder Ole Hanson is fascinating. The grounds are beautiful.

Nice place to visit, especially if you are able to attend one of the art shows they have here or the annual San Clemente restaraunt evening "Taste of San Clemente". Great view over the Pier Bowl.

Beautiful little place with great views overlooking the San Clemente Pier. Love the local history and old pictures of the area. If in the area, I would recommend a visit. I was the summer home of the founder of San Clemente with some original pieces from that time.

Lovely little place on top of a hill overlooking San Clemente Pier and Beach. A taste and feel of romantic early California. First time we came in the evening when it was decorated for Christmas - very beautiful. Came back again during the day and enjoyed a panoramic view of the ocean and toured the gardens. Can see why couples... More

The Casa Romantica is a very pleasant attraction tucked away above downtown San Clemente. It was the summer home of the founder of the city and commands a spectacular view of the ocean and the pier. There is ample parking right at the front door. A modest $5 fee lets you enjoy the home at your own pace. The gardens... More

The two lovely and friendly blondes at the front desk were very welcoming and helped set me up for my tour. Beautifully maintained property. I feel it provides a great summary and easily digestible history of San Clemente and SoCal in general. Provides a fantastic view of the San Clemente Pier.(I would plan to visit the pier in the same... More
