We arranged to visit Frias because we thought we were going to see them on the Vineyard. It turned out that it was not possible to do that so the visit was in their new wine room. Although the atmosphere was pleasant and the Wine was excellent - not a perfect score because we could not visit them on the... More

This was our second tasting of Frias Family Vineyard wines. The Frias brothers, Manny and Fernando, and their partners have done so much to promote the winery over the past year. Last year we tasted their wines at their Spring Mountain vineyards. Gorgeous views. This year they are doing renovations, so the tastings are in a non-descript building. At first... More

The tastings are held in a tasting room, not at the winery. Regardless, the wines are amazing. The have some nice big cabs. This a small family owned winery, and only make a few wines at a time.

I took a chance on this wine without knowing anything about it about 6 years ago. I bought three bottles the first time. I went back and bought a case. In October of 2014 we took a trip to Napa and knew I had to visit. This place is awesome if you want great wine and a great time. Don't... More

We had a tasting with Aaron and ended up buying some very nice wines. Was impressed with the heritage of this family/winery that few know about outside of Napa. They pretty well sell out every year so if you can get a tasting in and on their mailing list you will be one of the lucky ones. Aaron did a... More

Some of wineries and tastings can get a little cookie-cutter-uniform. Thankfully, upon a recommendation and personal connection, we visited Frias Family Vineyard. We fell in-love with the warmth and casual ease of our Frias tasting. The wines were divine and Manny made us feel like we too were a part of his family and vineyard. For one delightful afternoon, I... More

Our limo driver took us up to this winery. The setting was ok, some porta-potty's and a small tented area with table. The service and wine education were also good. Overall, the winery experience itself was personal and small, but primitive. Here's the catch. They encourage you to purchase their wine to avoid the cost of the tasting. What they... More

Visited Napa for my 20 year anniversary. We went to 10 wineries and Frias was our favorite stop. Our knowledgeable driver Logan, suggested we stop by in between our other scheduled tours. Sitting on the hillside enjoying one of the most fabulous views in Napa, we sat with Manny Frias and drank beautiful wines while we learned about his family... More
