I highly recommend California families with school age children to visit the Capitol. The interior is beautiful with dark wood and tile work. Governor Brown's picture to say the least is interesting. We wandered where we wanted to go, but there are tours avaiable.

Eric our guide made us truly appreciate and learn more about the place and understand CA governance system. The tour is offered for free and is scheduled every hour from open till the last tour at 4pm.

Everyone should take the time to see the Capitol. You can take a tour, or get the map and go on your own. The portraits of the governors are very interesting, esp. Jerry Brown's.

Beautiful displays of California Counties. Each county has a display of the outstanding products, entertainment, and historic for that county. The rotunda is quite spectacular. The acustics are great! In addition, the grounds outside the capitol have an outstanding variety of trees and flora. You...More
