We drove around the area looking at the buildings, including the Golden Bridge (straight down the main street). Traffic was light at lunch time on a week day.

lovely grounds and very accessible for the public to wander around and see the artwork, the architecture, and the historical documents. Outside the capital is a beautiful rose garden and many paths with statuary.

I used to live in Sacramento 30 yrs. ago plus a friend was here from Japan and she wanted to see the Capitol of California, found free parking so we stopped and took a few pic.

Spent quite a while walking through and around the gardens surrounding the State Capitol and much enjoyed this with an atmosphere of calm.

Very nice...took at tour of Capitol and was very impresses...very well maintained and interesting. Great for families with children maybe about 7 or8 and above.
