Nice museum to check out if you run out of things to do in Sacramento. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. Most of the stuff is on the 3rd floor. You can easily spend a couple hours here checking out the artworks.

We were here initially in September and I have been here many times. When we learned about the Dia de Los Muertos Celebration, we bought tickets on the spot. The show was breathtaking in its presentation of the celebration of music, dance, fashion show, and light show. I will be back for this outstanding show and will bring friends from... More

Both wings of this museum are great and have a wide variety of attractions. They also host a number of events ranging from classical or Jazz concerts, art nights for adults and family craft camps. Located right on the river its worth taking a small walk to see the sunset after your visit too.

Went to visit while in Sac. Nice museum, large space to view comfortably. On Thursdays they stay open late, 9:00pm, and that helped us to see the entire museum that day even though we left for dinner ( in Old Town) and returned. They give you a sticker label to allow re-entry. Nice mix of renaissance, impressionist paintings, some modern... More

It has wonderful art from California, but great collections from US and Europe, Asia and Pacific too. Lots of school kids on week days. I enjoy the historic Victorian home of the Crockers as much as the art.

Beautiful museum. I love their placards accompanying the art! Every piece has a placard with 3 blurbs: on the piece, the artist and something to look.

Walkabouts is what I love to do. Since I just moved to Sacramento, I have a list of places to visit and talk about. I love this place, the Crocker Art Museum. The style of the building is modern. Upon entering you notice the light airy spaces and flow of the rooms. There are 2 levels and there is an... More

A little bit out of the way for my family, but every trip here is a new experience and hands down Sacramento's best museum.

This art museum is unique for a number of reasons. 1. The original gallery was the home E. B. Crocker, one of the true business icons of early California. The home has many nuances that other museum will not have, i.e., a bowling ally in the basement, broad open ballroom, bullet struck front door, and then the wide range of... More

Really an excellent museum. I must have made a dozen trips to Sacramento before finally getting around to visiting the Crocker, but now will make sure to visit it on a regular basis. Nice cafe too.
