Love the old time area with shops that have obviously been in these buildings for over a hundred years. This has become more touristy that in my youth but still worth the trip.

Old Sacramento is a lot of FUN! Comprised of several streets, you wander the boardwalks looking and shopping and eating your way along. Can be crowded on weekend.

Pretty typical old town but nicer than most. Has the nice benefit of the train and Sacramento history museums right there.
