Lovely area, beautiful weather. We came to the area primarily for the Train Museum. We enjoyed several “gift shops” which primarily hawked similar souvenirs. There was one home/kitchen store that provided entertainment. There were a couple of art/jewelry shops with limited displays. There are a...More
Nice area to walk around. A couple of good museums, souvenir shops, bars and restaurants! Loved to strolled parallel to the Sacramento river with great views of the tower bridge. The only sad thing was a the alarming number of homeless people in almost every...More

We always love coming to old town sac to walk around and browse the stores. Always good for a day trip. Definitely recommend the tours.
Sadly there are quite a few empty buildings here but the view is lovely and the stores that are still here are great. The kids enjoyed walking around and there is a big area where cars are not permitted. It was a safe fun place...More
Old Sacramento - lot of cool shops like Evangline, sweet candy stores and other different shops. It's by river - good to watch some boat go by sometimes. Holidays are fun too especially Christmas, Halloween and Mardi Gras! A must visit in Sacramento.
It's safe and not too busy. Lots of fun shops to walk around. Lots of yummy food - great selection of cheap (Subway) to fine dining. It's on the river, making it very scenic.
Weather was gorgeous for February so we spent the day walking around and visiting all of the small shops. Ice cream, sock shop, fun stores.
