The Old Town was a fun area to walk around and explore. The Old Town is made up of a couple of blocks of old buildings with wooden sidewalks. There are street performers throughout the area and a variety of unique shops and restaurants. Some of the stores are tourist traps and some sell interesting and unique items, but overall,... More

This place is just a lot of fun. There is ample parking on the steeets(2 hour max meters) and in the parking structure($1.50 per half hour) by the Tower Bridge side. The candy store a block from the parking structure is a must stop. Free samples and all the old time favorites are there plus every flavor of salt water... More

The historic buildings are still in place along the beautiful Sacramento River. It's fun to wander through the shops with a 'must see' railroad museum to top it off. You can even take a ride on an authentic steam engine. One of the candy stores offers free candy while you browse. Evangaline's is 3 stores of costumes and unusual gift items.... More

So much to do: Train Museum, candy shops, charming and unique restaurants, riverside benches with a view. You name it, you can probably find it here. ENJOY!

We walked around 2 hours with the kids, checking out the steamboat, trains, shops and old buildings. The kids favorite was the hardware store in the state historic park part, where they could try out the old toys. The other favorite was the street artist with the puppets.

Old sac is not only a tourist stop but often frequented by locals. The few blocks have plenty of short term parking, spots to grab a variety of food, and plenty of little shoes. There really is something for most and even a bit for the horses pulling the carriages.

Great place to see some of the Sacramento history and feel the Gold Rush vibes. It's got shops, restaurants, cafes, museums. Good for kids too.

A fun day down by the river with plenty of little shops and yummy places to eat. A lot of old board walks so wear good shoes. And not everywhere was stroller or wheelchair accessible. We went and drove through on the Saturday night prior and it was super busy and full of a young crowd partying at the bars.

It like being in a western movie and walking into town... Nice to enjoy simpler time strolling thru the shops to see the historic with mix of modern.

This is a great tourist attraction. There are so many fun shops, attractions, candy shops, yummy food, etc. Just beware of the beggars and teens. They've been known to take advantage when they can. There are a lot of police around though, so it's safe. Don't leave your items unattended is all.
