This was the third time I had taken this tour; back in 2007 and 2012. The guide who was a docent in training was very good and you could tell she was passionate about the Mission Inn Hotel. There were far less areas that we saw compared to the other two tours I had taken though, and a no-photography policy... More

Beautiful Hotel, celebrated Valentines Day last year. We did the brunch & bought a Spa package. We will definitely head back. Book it a year or more in advance, whatever the occasion... trust us! The drop down menu was not offering Valentines Day 2016, tripadvisor, please fix.

It's a beautiful place to visit even without a tour. They have two parrots that greet you at the entrance and there are lots of unique little shops surrounding the inn. If you get a chance to go upstairs the view is very pretty from the outdoor balconies on the roof. The inside is full of history and even just... More

Festival of Lights was icing on the cake. Take a docent tour for full experience- comparable to Hearst Castle in historical significance.

What a treat to visit the Mansion Inn Museum and take the tour! Our docent was delightful and so knowledgeable. This was our first trip to Riverside so it was awesome to get some history on this neat place and to see the beautiful Festival of Lights, as well!

We had a e Christmas event here and 11 couples stayed at the hotel during the Festival of Lights time. Our dinner was delicious and the server very friendly and accommodating. The next morning we had another private room for breakfast and again it was fantastic. The history and architecture of the Inn is too magnificent for words. There is... More

We came for the Festival of Lights. We never got into the Museum (the whole area was crowded) but we did get into the Inn to see the historic Lobby and decor. Outside, we enjoyed the fantastic light display, carriage rides (in Cinderella's carriage!) around the property, Stands selling just about every kind of food, local restaurants, and street music.... This hotel is centrally located in Riverside's historical area. The Mission Inn is filled with the local history of the Inn and has many top notch restaurants on the premises. A must see if you are in the area.

The wife and I went to the "museum". We both thought it wast a waste of time as it had little to show. The only real thing of interest was the chronological photo/written history. Sorry, they could/should do better.
