I was encouraged by the Owner Mark Sood to cancel our December 2020 Solar Eclipse Tour to Argentina, when he knew full well that the trip itself would be canceled. (From February 2020 until now, no non-citizens have been allowed to enter Argentina. ) He took over $7000 of my money for canceling.

I have just returned from the 2019 Eclipse tour with this company. They offered a number of options of tours, from simply going to the eclipse, to adding on segments in Santiago, Atacama Desert and Easter Island. We chose the most extensive, having been assured we would be in “small” groups (20 -25 people) for all but the main eclipse gathering (of over 140 people). We were in fact in somewhat larger groups from the beginning, and for many meals, several groups were combined, for undistinguished mass-produced food, sometimes at venues that could not accommodate our size – we had one lunch where people at our table sat for an hour before being served. The outings were heavy on time in buses and in several cases missed the highlights of the location. (We dealt with this by arranging on our own -- and paying for -- some private tours to replace the ones they offered.) Information was scarce and often inconsistent from one guide to another. We were lucky to be in a sort of overflow group on Easter Island and toured there with only 10 people in our van – that was the best part of the organized tours. Some the days we spent just walking around a town after skipping a tour were also very enjoyable -- san pedro de atacama and la serena are lovely places to explore. Based on our experience, I would not recommend traveling with this company.
