Scheduled for completion in Summer 2004, this unusually designed bridge, functioning as a sundial at one end and conveying a sense of weightlessness, connects the north and south campuses of Turtle Bay Exploration Park.

This is a perfect example of how this city wastes tax money while at the same time neglects the infrastructure and security of the citizens

We have visited this bridge each time we have been in Redding. It is peaceful even with many others enjoying it at the same time. You can walk/bike across and then continue on a long, wonderful trail along the Sacramento River. Or you can stand...More

Yes, stop by Turtle Bay and walk across the Sundial Bridge. I lived in Redding for six years and this had not been built yet so I missed out. But on return visits I usually head over for a stroll across the Sacramento River. It's...More

Beautiful view of the Sacramento river, a must see. Easy access for all, and crosses to a beautiful botanical garden. Hot in the Summer, but river breezes keep it comfortable.

Travel Lodge, you get a voucher for a free breakfast at Lumberjacks, can not be beat, for a working persons budget. Clean and well kept place.
I'm a little confused, the attraction representative says all four answers are correct then states they are open 7 days a week 9-5. They answers state museum only open wed-spun. Which is it?

Sundial Bridge is not part of Turtle Bay Exploration Park. you can walk on the bridge anytime. There is no charge and at night the bridge is lit from under the bridge and the walk area is well lit and patrolled.
