Interesting read on the history of the bell tower and the town itself. Easily accessed on Main Street and a good place for a meeting point if a large group should split up.

It's Placerville's main landmark, it's historic, it's photograph-able. They have a farmers market there Wednesdays.

Very nice artifact left from when it would be used to call out the volunteer firefighters to combat the all too frequent fires that plagued the gold rush towns.

Historic Bell Tower located in the middle of historic Placerville. They have it decorated with hanging flower baskets.

If you come to Placerville you can't miss it. It's not particularly impressive but every Wednesday evening it's the home to a small but nice farmers market. It also comes alive during the events held on Main street. During Brewfest it's made to look like...More

We went to the Farmers Market which is held in the Bell Tower area on Wednesdays during the summer. It is on Wednesdays 5 pm till dusk. There were a variety of fruit, vegetable, food, and flower vendors.
