About Central Coast Food and Wine Tours

A Central Coast Food and Wine Tour in Paso Robles will introduce you to this new culinary frontier where food, wine and history come together to create a most delicious experience. Did you know a Paso Robles wine won Wine Spectator's "Wine of the Year" in 2010, and the area was recently named the West Coast's "most exciting wine region" by Sunset Magazine? We offer both a Walking Food and Wine Tour in Downtown Historic Paso Robles, as well as semi-private and private Driving Food and Wine Tours. Our tours best represent the array of agricultural, culinary and viticultural resources in the area. We'll help you get oriented to all that Paso (as we locals refer to the area) has to offer.

We spent several hours today touring with Mary Ann. It was fantastic! She was so personable and friendly - with a lot of information and knowledge about the town. The food and wine were delicious and we were stuffed when it was over. Bring your appetite! Highly recommended and would enjoy again.

Make sure you come hungry! Laura started our tour at Thomas Hill Organics. We had a wonderful beet salad and lovely rose. Then off to Pasolivo Olive Oil for a great tasting experience. While we walked to our next destination, We were told interesting history of Paso. Then we walked to Buona Tivola and had an amazing tray of their homemade salamis, tapenades, cheeses and breads and a wonderful glass of wine. As if we hadn’t had enough to eat, we walked over to the Paso Robles Inn and were treated to a great roast beef sandwich and wonderful Cabernet and fascinating stories about the history of the Paso Robles Inn. Finally, we walked to the Candy store and were treated to delicious gelato. WOW!!! It was a really enjoyable experience. We will do it again.

You gals were soooo much fun - I wanted to join your book club! It was really fun sharing the treasures and secrets as well as the good food and wine with a group of women who love good reads, good stories, good food and wine. I felt like we speak the same language! Thanks again for taking our tour. Best, Laura

My husband and I had a fabulous Paso Robles Tour with Laura Gurreau of Central Coast Food and Wine Tours! She was not only informative, but just a great fun lady to spend the day touring with. Laura knew so much about the history of Paso, as she has been a town resident for over 2 decades. Our tour was one that encompassed some of the best highlights of Downtown Paso Robles. We started at Pasolivo in their downtown location and met Gail, their extremely knowledgeable soon to be Olive Oil Sommelier. We sampled some fresh pressed fabulous California olive oils of all different flavors, vinegars and luxurious bath products. Of course before leaving we had a box full shipped home. Laura toured us through the city square park, and we learned about the history of the park and the area buildings since the world wars. She definitely knew all about what made Paso Robles so special. Laura had lunch arranged at the oldest famous hotel in town, Paso Robles Inn. This is where the original stage coach came through, stopping for healthy hot springs and where Joe Di Maggio and Marilyn Monroe spent a honeymoon night on their way back from San Francisco to Los Angeles. We popped into the Brown Butter Cookie Company and tasted delicious home made cookies from 2 local college girls, who returned to their hometown to set up shop. My favorite was the Bourbon cookies for the upcoming fall season. Afterwards we stopped at the towns famous Gelateria SLO, for the creamiest gelatos and candy treats. Lastly, no Central Coast Tour would be complete without a stop in a Wine Bar, and we went to the most unique one for a Wine & Spice Tasting LXV. Chris Kern, their Wine Specialist lead us through a pairing of wines with uniques various Indian spices, that not only mirrored but some contrasted the flavors in the wines, which made for a very interesting tasting. All in all it was such a fabulous tour. We would definitely recommend Laura, and hope to take another tour with her when back in Paso!
