Écluse may not be familiar to you yet but we will be! We invite you to discover us and experience wine tasting the old fashion way – in the barrel room with the winemaker! We are a small family owned winery & vineyard dedicated to producing limited production, hand-crafted, award-winning Rhone and Bordeaux style wines. Located on 30 beautiful acres of gently rolling hillside terroir on the desired Westside of the Paso Robles AVA, our philosophy is to make the very best wines from the very best fruit. Come "Savor the Wine that is truly Écluse"!Cheers! We are a small, boutique family owned winery therefore a reservation is required for groups of 7-10 and must be made in advance. We are unable to accommodate groups larger than 10. To schedule a tasting reservation, please give us a call. We look forward to welcoming you into our tasting room!

Maybe we were just at the end of an afternoon of wine tasting, but Ecluse did not wow us. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine was good enough.

Beautiful location - unobstructed views of hills of Paso. No nonsense from the great folks there about alluvial, limestone, calca-whatever soil and who first came over on the Santa Maria and spit the first grapeseed onto the hill to which a giant statue has been erected to immortalize Pedro Von Hammerschmidtianno - a blend of 16 different immigrant families that... I love finding a quaint vineyard/winery. The location is a bit off the main road where you find other vineyards, but that means you get more time to talk to the people who work there and learn more about their wine and avoid large crowds. They have a small, yet inviting tasting room with the option to buy metal artwork... More

Écluse is a small boutique winery located off the beaten path along winding roads southwest of downtown Paso. We arrived before they opened but we were still welcomed in and started tasting right away. Their tasting room is in the barrel room. We really enjoyed the wines. Almost all of their wines are awarding winning including Double Gold in the... More

Tasted at this winery, takes place in a barn like structure with barrels stacked. We liked the homey feel and the staff was warm and welcoming. This was probably the most populated tasting we attended. Very popular. The day we visited the point of sale was down, so there was a credit card runner. Not much time was added onto... More

We love this small, quaint winery located near Paso Robles California. All of the wines are fantastic...I haven't found one yet that I didn't like. The people are so friendly and helpful, and you can tell that this place is all about the quality of the wine. They only make small quantities of the very best wines, and and rather... More

We loved all the reds we tasted (we don't drink whites), especially the 2013 Ensemble! Plus it's the only winery we know that doesn't charge for tasting.

We visited Ecluse over the 4th of July holiday, because we are guardians to a blind, rescue dog (WiFi) and this winery had a blind rescue dog for whom they named their Blind Dog Wine. The staff here were extremely friendly and welcoming and invited our dogs in immediately. We are not wine connoisseurs and we had the opportunity not... More

Ecluse wines allows dogs in their tasting room. They are relatively easy to find and have an assortment of Zinfandel -we purchased the 2012. They even let us try a couple right out of the oak barrels.

My Wine Driver took us to this winery. What a wonderful surprise. During the tasting we were able to barrel taste wine as well. This was a brilliant way to educate us in the wine and barrel world. Our favorite wine was the Improve! Yum!
