Every time I have friends visiting from France or Germany, Stanford is our favorite tour, never missed the - Main Quad (historic and academic center of campus, including the school of Humanities & Sciences) - Memorial Church - or the Hoover tower [open. 7 days a week from 10am to 4:00pm [tips : the last tickets are sold at 3:30pm]... Peaceful, modern campus. Excellent bookstore offering Campus clothing, books, coffee shop and technology. 2 minutes walking to lots of campus fast food places, but the real value is walking around the beautiful, tree filled campus commonly seen in the Stanford logo. We visit many Universities worldwide, some for history i.e. UK, Ireland and Europe, but from an asthmatic perspective Stanford... More

Have been visiting Stanford U [from Sydney Australia] for over 4 decades. One of the worlds great learning institutions. Very attractive campus with numerous outstanding buildings and attractions. The University Chapel is one and the Cantor Arts Center is another, of many other attractions. The Rodin Sculpture Garden is simply outstanding...some 20 Rodins [out of a total of some 200!]... We had a great time exploring Stanford's grounds while on a guided tour, definitely a great motivator for a high school student! Our tour started with semi-formal presentation by a faculty member and answered all possible questions about application & admissions process. After a short break we continued by feet for about a mile and a half walk guided by... More

My first time getting an official tour at this prestigious university. The campus ground and buildings are well kept. My dining experience was wonderful. The food taste fresh and the price is reasonable. You might not want to drive here since parking is limited. So, it's better to get here by public transportation, you will find the CalTrain station within... More

Attended a conference of the Stanford Social Innovation Review. It was held at the Stanford Alumni Center, which is a beautiful facility. The campus is gorgeous - art deco inspired buildings, beautiful landscaping. You can approach the campus on Palm Drive, which has masonry gates and an allee of royal palms - very scenic. The campus is environmentally friendly and... More

I was disheartened to learn that the campus, while gorgeous, is very quiet on the weekend. So quiet that we couldn't find anywhere for our youngest to use the bathroom, that was clean, or anywhere open to eat lunch. The campus is absolutely gorgeous. The few people we did meet were very kind.
