There were lots of places to hike in Indian Canyons. Two of the easier trails are Andreas and Palm Canyon. Murray Canyon was a longer hike than we wanted to take, so we didn't attempt it. Still, you can see a lot from shorter hikes...More

We love this place. So beautiful and tranquil with a good choice of hikes were you can stay underneath the palms by waking out and back through the canyon or add in some extra miles, and great views, by adding on the Victor trail which...More

The walk can be as much or as little as you want but well worth the trip as the guides are fantastic and they get you to understand so much more.

There are a multitude of trails that one can choose from. Some trails connect to others that can traverse as many as 10-15 miles. Need to do some uphill to get to initial, higher elevation but after that it can be mostly level depending on...More

Small fee to enter. Even in the heat of summer it's not too bad for a 1-2 mile hike. Palms keep the canyons cool. We saw Bighorn sheep and various birds and lizards. Small cafe and nice gift shop near the parking area where the...More

The Indian Canyons trails are a great activity for the daytime. The entrance fee gives access to any of the trails in the park. You can hike multiple if time permits. It is a great way to spend the day and even picnic.

This is our favorite trail, to the three sisters falls. You feel like you are in an old western movie, yet the trail is relatively easy and only 5 miles or so round trip. Go early in summer. Beautiful native California palms. Admission is by...More

Great trails but you need to plan carefully to not get caught out by the heat so don't be too ambitious. The Palm Canyon trail is fairly flat and shaded in parts so a good one to do in the heat. The Andreas train requires...More

Just a thought, visiting the valley this time of the year, the hotel rate will be higher because this is still the vacationing season. Consider the Courtyard by Marriott or something down from that level of cost. There is a... More

I hiked this trail 6 months after minimally invasive back surgery. As noted above, there are steep steps to get down to the trail and then back up, but there is a railing and you can take your time. Otherwise the trail is... More
