This little gem is a great trip through history. Lots of little odds and ends in the collection. One issue was not being able to get up close to see small items and print.

I am grateful to have discovered this gem in downtown. It's a must see for all ages. You may never see such an incredible collection of American memorabilia.

The advertised hours are Thursday thru Sunday - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. This museum of a general store fits in nicely with the Historical Society's authentic buildings (McCallum Adobe and Cornelius White's house). In 1985, Mr. Ruddy combined his extensive collection with that of...More

So, this is a collection of a guy named Ruddy's general stuff that's not in a real general store setting. It is interesting to see just what kinds of things were sold in a general store back in the day. There were lots of brands...More

The Ruddy General Store stocks goods from the 1930s and earlier from the private collection of the late Jim Ruddy. None of the goods are on sale. Admission is only one dollar. Photographs (and flash) are allowed. Small children would probably not enjoy this place.

Worth a stop at this very unusual general store museum. The shelves are jam packed with unused original merchandise. Nicely organized and so interesting to see old brands, packaging and advertising claims from the past.

A most fascinating small museum filled with one man's collection of artefacts from 1930's grocery stores. First class

What an amazing collection! It was fun to visit and we really enjoyed looking at the old time General Store “medicine”, early beauty items mostly from the depression era 1930’s to 40’s and lots more. Cost a buck to enter.

Pretty amazing collection of general store items, huge collection of old bottled medicines. Only a dollar to enter, you won’t be disappointed.

The lady that runs this place is so informative. We stayed for an hour because she was so interesting. Step back in time.
