The paths here lead to the most breathtaking views. I can’t believe some of the pictures I took. Definitely worth the price of the tram ride to get up there. I am absolutely going to visit again!!!

The tram up San Jacinto Mountain is a remarkable, scenic trip, but a real surprise awaits the hiker/photographer! Behind Mountain Station is a long and wide plateau of alpine forest and meadows. Both short and long moderate trails are available, including a scenic route that...More

The tram ride up the mountain is spectacular and the views of the Coachella valley from San Jacinto are breathtaking. It is hard to believe this alpine setting exists just a short ride from the desert valley. Great way to spend a few hours on...More

We enjoyed hiking the shorter paths here. There's a paved pathway that circles around to the bottom. It was steep. But, it wasn't that difficult to get back to the top. We just took our time and stopped frequently to look at the views. Desert...More

My brothers and I took two different hikes- ours was one hour , relatively flat and easy with beautiful views, their's was about three hours, more demanding and also satisfying. Highly recommended.

As other reviewers have stated, the views of Palm Springs and Coachella Valley are stunning. Especially around late afternoon through sunset into the night. There are a couple things to bear in mind to make this an enjoyable visit. 1) Check and double check the...More

Great views. I enjoyed the informative display and the video. There are opportunities for hiking. I did a little of it but I prefer paved walking paths

No reservation is necessary, but the line for the tram will get longer later in the day--I recommend going early/mid-morning (when the tram starts running). You pay a small entrance fee, park your car, and tram to the top... More
