It's just a mountain! There are bigger mountains, prettier mountains, more spectacular mountains, more historic mountains, better known mountains, etc. etc. etc.

We took the tram up to the top which was a little unnerving at first but I got used to it. It only takes 12 minutes and then you have the bird's eye view of the area. I'm happy we were there when it wasn't...More

Everything has been said about this attraction. I can only add that it took me years to finally conquer my fear of heights and it was so worth it. It is a very unique experience to hike one of the trails up there (The Desert...More

The tram to the top of San Jacinto is an engineering marvel leading to stunning views and beautiful, easily walked short alpine hikes at the mountain top. The somewhat limited menu at the cafe at the top wasn't unreasonably priced and there is a bar...More

The San Jacinto Mountain View’s dominate the skyline in Palm Springs. To truly appreciate the Mountain we decided to take a trip by the tramway. It was amazing to walk around the the trails on the mountain. Bonus was the cool temperatures!

Take the tram to the top, walk around. Enjoy the weather and the views. Remember it is much cooler at the top than in Palm Springs. Maybe 20 or more degrees? Nice hiking up there as well. Make sure to bring along a friend and...More

I was lucky enough to get perfect weather to attempt the challenging Cactus to Clouds hike, which goes from the desert floor to the top of San Jacinto. It's obviously not something that everyone should try, but it's an excellent adventure for strong hikers. Like...More

San Jacinto Mountain provided for a wonderful hiking opportunity. We took a guided hike, which ended up being a couple of hours long, with a total of about 4.5 miles. The hike was over mainly a path, but could be rugged at times; we're glad...More
