It's a very windy spot, but bring your tripod and camera. We did not join the windmill tour, but was able to see a windmill closely.

We have seen windmills that generate electricity in different places in the US. The one at Palm Springs area is my favorite. We were there when it was windy and it was fun to see how fast they turned. Without the wind, its different view. The photo we took is when ther was zero wind. They are amazing and fun... More

We noticed the windmills from the airplane when landing in Palm Springs. Later we drove through the windmill farm when returning from Joshua Tree National Park. We were blasted by severe winds when crossing the valley, so it is easy to see why so many wind turbines are located here. There are several sizes and types of windmills in the... More

Our group found this an intriguing behind the scenes look at wind power, led by a knowledgeable person, who then took us in a bus to get up close to some of the different types of wind generating turbines on site.

Hundreds of monsterous windmills harnessing the power of the wind to generate electricity. They are cool to see but that's about it.

Amazing to see these structures up close. Hundreds upon hundreds as you enter Palm Springs. No tour needed, stop safely at side of road and snap away.

We were heading north from Palm Springs and saw this great display of hundreds upon hundreds of windmills. When in action together, they look amazing. Some are caged in white while others, perhaps older ones have metal casings structure supports. They all look wonderful.
