You can make it easy or hard. We don’t even attempt it in the summer months. Lots of folks sometimes but who cares. Enjoy the hike and the views.

Don't go if you don't know how to hike in our desert. And then don't go alone.Take plenty of water and a medical kit.

Great trail for a couple hour hike, not too difficult and nice views of the valley. As always when hiking in the desert, be sure to bring along your sunscreen and water.

We were spoiled by our other hikes. We could not believe how many people were on this trail. It was a nice trail in the sun. Be sure to wear a hat and bring water and sunscreen. The trail was not too difficult.

A great trail but get there early because of the heat. Bring water. Good for beginners and those that want to go for a run. Views are great!

This trail is definitely a workout and if you have bad knees, you may want to wear braces and use hiking poles, but the view is so worth it! Not a trail to do in the summer for sure though.

Not too difficult, a nice leisurely hike with my girlfriend. It can be taken at a faster pace for a solid incline workout. The view from the top is great.

It was suggested we hike up the right side trail as it would be the least difficult, but I just read a review that said " the right side is more narrow and difficult to navigate going down and so recommend doing the hike clockwise" ..are there multiply hikes or just one circular? What are their distances and approximate time to do? We plan to arrive around 1:00-2:00 this afternoon.

I was the one who originally made the clockwise suggestion. The path is well marked and a lot of people on it even tho it was a weekday. I was delighted to hear that I was not the only one who preferred the clockwise hike.

Off Painters Path behind the shopping mall in Palm Desert. It's literally in the city.

I have taken my dog on this trail not knowing for sure. Someone told me they weren't allowed. I did see other dogs though. Definitely keep on leash.
