We have visited Mcallum Theatre many times over the years for concert performances.Everything that has been said about the theatre concerning its comfort and acoustics we agree with.On one occasion we thought we would like to try Box seating just to be different. We enjoyed that.Helpful hint- to do this you will have to talk to the box office in person... The McCallum hosts all kinds of entertainment from classical to rock, comedians, acrobats, etc. It is a very attractive theater with comfortable seating and excellent viewing and sound. Prices range depending on entertainment and seating location. Many world famous come to the McCallum as well as local talent.

We saw Pippin. I remember seeing this musical in NYC on a snowy afternoon matinee 40 years ago. The cast member playing the King was played by the young Pippin we saw then in his twenties, now he is sixty. The theatre was first rate with great acoustics. Parking was a breeze. Most of the cast greeted us after the performance... More

We went to see Garrison Keeler who told stories for two hours. This was NOT Prairie Home Companion with the sound effects man and music. He was, however, terrific. Our seats were $77 each and were row F, seats 107 and 108-- orchestra , almost center. There is enough leg room so that people can come in front of you... More

Over the past several years we have attended the most wonderful concerts, productions and comedians you could want to see at this lovely theater that has no bad seats. I love the orchestra back row, but have now tried the balcony also and could see just as well. Happy to have seen everyone from the Ten tenors to Dick Van... More

Adore this cultural jewel of the Valley serving Palm Springs to Palm Desert and beyond. Interesting and superb programming. An attractive concert hall (probably ready for an update!) and great acoustics. Do whatever you can to go to a concert of some kind here!

Went twice. Once to see k.d.lang and once to see Lily Tomlin. At the Lily Tomlin, it was so loud I couldn't stand it, although Lily was very good. At the k.d. a bunch of people got up and stood in front of us and jumped up and down rocking our entire row and obstructing our view. I appealed to... More

Especially when there is someone on stage who has ties to the desert, and maybe has guests in the audience. Or even if it's just all these connections we usually have tears in her eyes at some point during the performance.
