We spent the entire day here, starting with the ranger's walk. Fascinating gardens of desert plants. Loved the emphasis on endangered species. Top marks to the fun of feeding carrots to giraffes and the butterfly garden. Both cost a few dollars extra but were worth it!

Weather was great for an afternoon here. Immaculately clean grounds, an abundance of helpful guides, great weather, and beautiful plant and animal examples with descriptions made an enjoyable visit. New addition was the cheetah run which was fun to see. Camel rides are possible as well as feeding a giraffe. Model railroad village and a cafe add to the enjoyment.

Very friendly and helpful volunteers. Spend the extra bit and have your ticket include the train ride if you can't walk far, are short on time or maybe like me, didn't feel like walking around that day, it's worth the extra money. Beautiful plants and trees everywhere, it's truly beautiful.

Fairly pricey. We walked the zoo in about an hour. The giraffes were awesome as were zebras and big cats. Camel rides for around $6. Aviaries with a lot of birds. I would say the zoo itself is about average.

This is a very accessible park. The paths are wide, even, and have gradual grades. For a nominal cost, there is also a tram that goes through the park - you can hop on and off at frequent stops. Our ages ranged from 5 to 69. I'm disabled (58 years old) and had no issues at all getting around. We... More

I came with no expectations and came away with a wonderful experience. This botanical garden and zoo is neatly laid out to enhance the desert experience and provide a natural habitat for the animals, most of which have been rescued and brought back to health. The guides are knowledgeable and eager to provide information on everything the place has to... More

We got here the moment the park opened and stayed till the very end. This place is very big! Our mistake is thinking we could walk the whole park. It got quite warm and 1/2 way through the day, we bought an unlimited shuttle pass. I wished we did that at the very beginning. Because once we boarded the shuttle,... More

Visited the zoo and were very pleased with the exhibits and staff. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. It was especially nice to have volunteers by many of the animals to explain their habitat and how they are doing in the wild. The gardens were beautiful and there were signs by most of the plants to identify by... More

Terrific setting for a variety of desert gardens and a very good Zoo with a nice variety of animals. Regular animal shows throughout the day. Make sure to see the Cheetah Run and the giraffe feeding. Extra charge for tram rides in park. Adult admission is $20, but there are senior discounts and half off if you a member of... More

It's more than a zoo. It's more than a garden. It's more than hiking trails. There is the most fabulous outdoor train set for the kids and trams for those who don't want to walk that much. We started coming here in 1990, and became members. Hint: come early in the day, when they first open, and the desert animals... More
