While not knowing anything about Chinese culture learned a lot about how they helped Oroville grow and what it was like for them and the people of Oroville in this period of time... Very informative docents....

It's decently maintained for a small town. With passionate and respectful docent. Enough original stuff. Nice courtyard. This museum beats major museums I saw in Indonesia's or most museums in Asia in terms of information. Could use some Chinese translation and try attract Chinese tourists.

Worth it if you have the time, very beautiful and historic presentation of the Chinese's impact on California during the gold rush era.

Chinese workers were not given enough credit for all they contributed during the gold rush days and the railroad development. Hard workers for little pay and did the most undesirable jobs. So many perished needlessly and uncaring. This is a fine museum noting all their strength and achievements.

An important contribution to Northern California history, which continues to grow today Much of Oroville (Ophir in the early days) owes it's attraction to immigrants from elsewhere, to help the development of social and cultural events today. We are fortunate to have this contribution to California 's attractions. The historic location has been fully restored and expanded.

I recently took my 12 year old Granddaughter to visit the Oroville Chinese Temple and we really enjoyed ourselves. She took photos of the coy pond and garden outside as well as the amazing items inside. The facility is clean and the docent was very nice. We did a self guided tour and took in all of the beautiful rooms.... More
