Very peaceful setting. There is a self-guided walking tour on the grounds. Very nice. If you are looking for a surprising place to discover while visiting Oceanside, this is a good place to go.

After seeing pictures of this, I wanted to see it in person. The building is beautiful as are the surrounding grounds. Parking is available on site. I waited until a service was over to go inside and see the beautiful stained glass windows. They were well worth the wait. There were even reflections on the floor.

The Prince of Peace is open to the public. Just be sure to notice that there are quiet areas and parts that are closed off to only those on retreat. My favorite is to walk the path around the grounds and take in the expansive views of Oceanside overlooking the ocean. It's an easy short walk around the trail.

I enjoyed walking along the trail for stations of the cross. Great parish store. Beautiful church with outstanding view of ocean while in the church. Vespers (chanted prayers) at 5pm very relaxing and soothing.

Discovered this by accident, but have come back here many times to show visitors or just for my own solitude. Love the tranquility of the place.
