Longest wooden pier on California coast at 1941 feet, 1/3 of a mile, there is a convenience store half way out stocked floor to ceiling with fishing pole rentals, bait, tackle, snacks and beverages, and a whole lot of souvenir's stuffed into a 7X15 foot space. Ruby's 50's diner is located on the end with breakfast to burgers and a view to die for. The pier it self is open 24 hours a day 7days a week

We enjoyed the scenery, the pelicans and egrets were comical, and wished we had time to dine at the restaurant at the end. There are firepits at the end of the beach, and the sunsets were beautiful here.

The food at Ruby's is delicious and the pier is fun because people are fishing, walking and visiting.

I always take visiting friends and relatives for a morning walk on Oceanside Pier culminating with breakfast at Ruby's at the end of the Pier. It's a real slice-of-life experience of the beach community. The surfers are amazing to watch, there are lots of fishermen and families looking for a good catch, there's a cast of local characters adding flavor... More

Oceanside Pier - nice families out for a walk on the pier, people fishing, rough looking people, and many other characters. It's a cool place to visit and people watch. I have never felt unsafe- there are always lifeguards and police nearby.

Came here while visiting my friends that live near by. This is one of the longest piers I've been too. And it had a Ruby's at the end! How cool is that!!!

Great place to fish for free and catch a few waves. Fun surf on both sides of the pier, watch for fishing lines if you come within 50 yards. Also a strong current sweeping through the pier on large swells. Great place to watch the sunset, go for a stroll or just simply enjoy the beauty of the ocean.

The Pier is really nice, there are wild brown pelicans that stay on the dock for food, they are not intimidated by people so they will just hang out, just don't get too close to them because they will bite.

With spectacular views up and down the coast this is worth the visit. There is a great restaurant at the end of the pier that has quality seafood and great ocean views.
