We enjoyed the two exhibits, Sidewalk Activism and Artists' Alliance Biennial, that were here in February. Both were quite thought-provoking! The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the young woman in the gift shop, which was one if the best museum shops I've been to in in awhile. My friend and I were looking for a fun interesting way to spend afternoon. We lunched in town and then visited the museum. There was an acrylic nail exhibit that turned out to be wildly informative as well as quirky. We also enjoyed the local artist exhibit and were nicely surprised to see the work of an “old” neighbor exhibited. We heartily recommend visiting and stopping by Petit Madeline’s bakery a few blocks down.…

Enjoyed the exhibit showing artificial nails as art. Upstairs gallery had wide variety of paintings and sculptures. The dresses as art room has an outfit made entirely of sea sponges.

Excellent art museum. A hidden gem in Oceanside. As it is not well known or publicized, there usually are no crowds. Easy to park. Ongoing exhibitions as well as special events are worth checking out.

Looking for something to do after lunch, we stumbled across this museum. Through it is pretty small,, they had three very well curated and interesting exhibits. A fourth was being installed the day we visited, but was not yet open. It was well worth the small admission price.
