Oakland is knw for its stunning yet romantic sun sets and this particular evening was no exception. It was great as the clear sky's enabled is to see as,far as the golden gate bridge! Its a must see on any hot August summer night!

Great walking trail. Also good for biking, skating, running. A little crowded on weekends. Not a lot of space for picnics.

I'm so glad I didn't leave Oakland without walking around Lake Merritt. It was a gorgeous park in an updated urban area.

This is a great place to take a nice walk and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. You can also rent watercraft here.

If you fall in by accident, go directly to a shower with serious soap. The water is in no way clean or safe.
