The parks district has something for everyone. Hiking, picnics, horseback, merry go round, boating, swimming. Even golf. And very cheap to free. Well maintained trails - lots of choices to get away - all along the East Bay.

Redwood Park along with others in the Park District are outstanding outdoor areas. There's a feeling of being far away from the urban noise and yet close enough to a short 1/2 day to full day trip.

This park system is huge, and there is a lot here. Lakes, hiking, biking, ball fields. And some reservoirs. Very important to the region.

Climbing Inspiration Point is special when it's a beautiful day. You can hike as long as you wish and however long it is is just right.

So far I've had a very pleasant experience with East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD), specifically their Administration Headquarters. After visiting a few parks near our home, I gave their website a visit, along with their social media accounts, and it seems so fun and...More

The EBRPD is a gem of exceptional parks studded throughout the East Bay. It maintains and operates a system of regional parks which is the largest urban regional park district in the United States! That is quite an accomplishment! As of 2015, EBRPD spans 120,000...More

I've loved the EBRPD my whole life. The parks they run are truly a world away from the urban areas along the east bay coast and the tri-valley. My personal favorite is Redwood Regional Park. It used to have taller trees that Redwood National Park,...More
