We visited this winery on the recommendation of another winery. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The prices were high and the wines were our least favorite out of all the others around it. The decor and atmosphere were more of an urban/city feel and not that of Napa. Probably wouldn't waist our time there again.

Venture a little bit further and a visit to Artesa in the Carneros area of Napa is a must see! We always include Artesa on our visits and you will not be disappointed. First - the wine - it's a great winery and their wines compete with the very best. They are well known for their excellent Chardonnay's and Pinot... More

I love bringing out-of-town visitors to this little gem of a winery - the views are spectacular, as are the fountains outside. The wines are good, not great, and the tasting fee is a little high (Welcome to the Napa Valley) but the staff are friendly and know their stuff.

If you are in the Carneros region, Artesa is worth the ride up even just for the grounds. Beautiful views and great architecture. Being one of the first places you hit in the way up it gets crowded so plan to be at the bar with quite a few others. We did a shared tasting and happy we did as... More

Went for an early tasting after they opened and not busy. We were treated like royalty. Our server was most impressive and spent a great deal of time with us. He even added several extra tastings! The views and grounds are stunning but with a very relaxed feel. You do not need reservations for a walk up tasting for a... More

This was the first winery we visited in Napa, and it set the bar high! It's more remote than most others, so the views of the valley are spectacular, and the building itself is built into the side of a hill and is architecturally stunning. Our tasting guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and offered us a mini tour of the facility... More

No reservations needed. Close to Napa. Beautiful setting and views with delicious wines. Owned by Spaniards with some wonderful Spanish varietals. Don't need anything else to make for a memorable afternoon in Napa!

Very Very disappointing experience with Artesa! It was actually a traumatic experience. We had a very special group coming to a bike tour in the Napa area and we chose Artesa as one of our stops. We dealt with ALL the details with at least one month advance... I went personally there before the actual visit with the group to... More

Sometimes it is nice to go to winery and not drive up to a castle. Built into the hill so it does not destroy the landscape. Great tasting room with beautiful grounds and view. Good flight of carneros AVA wines. I lusted over the member tasting area that was behind a glass partition wall. We always want what we can't... More
