My family has been hiking the Santa Rosa trails for years. We hike, bike and run the trails. Recently I took my son and his friend to the Visitor Center loop so they could take photos for their photography class. What a beautiful day.

A most beautiful place. Take the children but stay in groups as there are wild critters up here including bobcats, coyotes, snakes and even cougars, but they are rarely seen during the day. There is a large vernal pool that forms after a rain, hike can be a bit long for the elderly.

What a great thing we have so close to town.... go hike with fantastic views....maybe see some wildlife. Mountain biking and horses on one side hikers on the other. See the historic adobes and the vernal pools. What a great day out!

Our 3rd grader go here every year but this last month was my first visit. I so enjoyed the beautiful views and a chance to enjoy a quiet walk in nature. A great destination for my scout pack and anyone wanting to enjoy nature. They even offer a summer concert series. Who knew? They had a great art display inside... More

A chance to get out and walk off the pounds! Be sure to stop off at the ranger station to discuss what trails are best for you and your group. Fill your water bottles with their cold Aqua and be sure your backpack has snacks, etc. to enjoy in the shaded areas. Experience chaparral and elfin forest hiking.

The drive from Temecula was gorgeous! Amazing hills and views! We started at the south trail and only saw 3 people the entire time we were hiking (about 2 hours). We saw tarantulas, lizards, rabbits and coyotes. The reserve is huge - you could hike different trails over several days. The trails are well marked and very safe. Definitely worked... More

This is a great place for hiking. There are many different trails and there is always something new to see. Good place for kids and parents alike. Hot in the summertime though. Bring water.
