I stayed at Lake Siskiyou with my sister and her husband and my son and his little family. We cooked on an open fire, walked around the campground, went on a patio boat, did some fishing, went swimming, had campfires, and even watched a movie...More

The lake is really fun for swimming in the summer, and there are several different entry points to pull off the road with small dirt parking lots to access the water. The entry fee area is small and crowded but if you have small kids...More

The lake is in a pretty setting with views of Mt. Shasta. There is also dam but it’s not accessible to hikers, as it’s fenced off. The lake itself has a nice hiking trail along its shore. Nearby is the Mt. Shasta resort, but we...More

I love this little lake. Easy to get to, feels secluded, but is actually pretty close to the town of Mount Shasta. Very pretty, not too crowded, nice easy hiking trail around the lake. Good place to go if you're not up to stiffer hikes...More

We hiked the 7-8 miles around the lake and barely saw anyone. Great views of Shasta. We had to wade through knee deep water at top end of lake, as the temporary bridges hadn’t been put up yet, so our shoes and socks came off...More

One of the coolest mountain small towns we've see, and we live in one (Park City). Not many of these small towns left, and this one is a jewel. The lakes are great also!

I really enjoyed the peaceful, quiet space of this Lake. We visited twice and just enjoyed reading, watching the water ripples, the fish jumping occasionally and the great vista of Mt. Shasta. The first time we went a fisherman was oblivious to the fact he...More

I have camped here many times and although the pricing is a bit difficult to figure out, it is nice. Great beach area too.

This lake is quiet and beautiful, the hike around the lake is well worth it. We found the paths well-maintained and easy to follow.

As promised, I was near there today & checked with the staff. They do not permit jet skies on the lake. They have other boating options but not what you are after. Hope this helps!
