I went to this hill for the first time March 9th 2017 (it's been a great year for snow!) And it was excellent. The staff who fitted my dad with skis were friendly and helpful. The hill itself ranges from really easy to somewhat difficult....More

It's a really nice nature drive up the mountains from Redlands / I-210, filled with a curvy, twisty & winding road - glad it's not in the winter time! Very picturesque & scenic area! Enjoy...

We had a nice day driving up the mountain. We stopped several times along the way to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. Also stopped for lunch at a local restaurant.

Make sure you have good brakes. The drive is short, and the views are great. Amazing to be at 80 degrees and sunny in LA, and drive less than 45 minutes to the scenic snow.

It's a beautiful drive up to Mt. Baldy (the town) from Claremont, CA. Plenty of side turnouts / lookouts that let you see river beds and snow-capped mountains (in the winter season). The town itself is rather rustic (like it's 1963 and nothing has changed),...More

The zig zagged roads are compensated by the gorgeous views as you get higher up the mountain. The town nearby is a great rest stop to just look around

For me, it's Yes. Weather conditions change rapidly & you don't want to be out looking for chains instead of enjoying your leisure time. It's always better to be safe than sorry. Enjoy! Dave
