In Monterey, the food is expensive, the lodging is expensive, the Aquarium is expensive, but the rec trail is FREE! Guess what, tide pools, whales, otters, seals are available without a ticket. A leisurely walk (or a fast walk) from Fisherman's wharf to Cannery Row,...More

If you are fond of nature it is worth joining the trail. You will see a lot of species along the way. May be nothing special, but the view of the ocean always attracts everybody. Though if you get to the Lovers Point Park you...More

Met a lot of people on this trail. I used to get it to Cannery row, easy way to go, no cars. Very scenic saw a lot of birds and sea lions. You can also see a lot of boats and the bay.

Great trail hugging Monterey Bay. Very scenic! Walked several times along it and saw plenty of seals, sea lions, sea otters and tone of birds! Very clean trail too! Seats to relax on along the way to just enjoy the beautiful view!

This was a great trail perfect for long walks or runs while visiting. It started off in the central and went through the town along coast. It had great views and could see the seals hanging out in the water by the edge.

We were visiting The Old Fisherman's Wharf and decided to take a walk on the Recreational Trail. Beautiful views of the bay and a nice path for walking, biking or pushing a stroller. Highly recommend!
