Very driveable and very walkable - - MUST DO this if you are in the area - we watched whales from the shore. You will find a public restroom along the way near the local golf course.

We began our bike ride in the town of Marina and rode 24 miles to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This is a beautiful ride that has reader boards about the history of Fort Ord and the plants and animals along the coast. The ride winds...More

We actually were able to walk on this trail for a short time in between Old Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row which I would highly recommend. Not only does it have a lot of good history, and picnic benches and tables, for a picnic, one...More

What a wonderful place for a bike ride. Put about 7 miles on our bikes but wish we could have done more. Basically a flat trail so good for beginners with lots of beautiful scenery. Lots of stops along the way with beautiful scenery so...More

Trail is relatively easy for all ages. Goes from The south edge of Seaside to well beyond Cannery Row. This is the very best way to get some exercise, watch people, eat and enjoy all that Monterey is.

Have the time to enjoy all the scenic views. Can be very peaceful, if that is what you are looking for when there! Have a good camera ready to take the pictures you will look at as often as possible!

About half of this route is inland through neighborhoods on the peninsula. The sea views are nice, but not worth the price of a movie. I downloaded the free app at the first stop and listened to the audio tour. It wasn't awesome, but I'm...More

A safe and scenic 15 minute walk between Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row along the coastline. Seals, sea lions and sea otters can all be seen en route. We would have liked to have hired bicycles of we had more time.

I bike or walk here daily during our stay. It is just beautiful and one does not need to watch out for automobiles.

I know we did a baby version of the length of the trail but we just wanted to get a small walk in and also the experience. It was a very enjoyable walk and we loved it. We could have easily gone much farther but...More

I recommend renting from Adventures by the Sea. They have multiple locations including one on Cannery Row near the aquarium. The recreation trail runs right through Cannery Row so you don't need your car. I believe the... More
