There is a 29+mile long paved path for walking, jogging and biking. Staying in Monterey is was very easy to pick up the trail and walk along the shore line passed Pacific grove all the way to the Lighthouse and Spanish Bay Beautiful and very busy with locals and bikers. Would recommend renting bikes or at least send a couple... More

We spent a lovely weekend in Monterey and walked this trail on Sunday after seeing the aquarium on Saturday. Lovely views of the ocean and smell of ocean air.

Do not miss this experience. A fantastic way to enjoy the Monterey Bay and wildlife. The trail is well marked with educational information about the wildlife and history. You can walk from Monterey to Pacific Grove without having to deal with traffic.

My favorite section of the trial takes about 15 minutes (oneway) to stroll along a paved pathway stretching between the Aquarium and the beach/park @ Lover's point. Along the way, walkers will encounter vista views of the Monterey Bay... More
