Didn't want to do it at first, but it ended up being one of my favorite parts of our CA trip. There were some really cool stops and views along the way, and my husband loved seeing the golf course!

Part of our west coast tour and we stayed in pebble beach. Lovely drive around the drive, the houses, the views, spyglass hill and cypress point, the lone pine etc.... a real pleasant way to spend a few hours. Try and time your stops when...More

What a disappointment this was. Save the money and take the pacific coast highway to Big Sir! 17 mile drive is a bunch of houses and a golf course with a tiny amount of scenery which pales into insignificance compared to the 'free' sights the...More

I have enjoyed this drive since I was a teenager with a license. I ended up getting married in a church that is within the 17 mile drive boundaries. The chapel is on the campus of Robert Lewis Stevens Elementary School. We took pictures on...More

What a stunning drive. It has it all going. Gorgeous forests and trees. Beautiful ocean views and beaches, many you can take long ocean walks. We had a fun lunch stop at Pebble Beach Lodge. They valet your car ( it is free) and you...More

It has been years since I did this drive and I was not disappointed. The drive is stunning and the coastline is one of the most beautiful in the world. The drive can get crowded and there were quite a few tourist buses. You can...More

17 mile drive winds and weaves through many of the Monterey Peninsulas most notoriously famous spots. Cannot walk the 17 miles but a drive is recommended. It has plenty of spots to pull over and enjoy the Peninsula.

For someone whose motto is “Never sit when you can stand. Never stand when you can walk. Never walk when you can run” and who truly would rather be hiking, I still say this is a must. Amazing photo opportunities which will get your millennials...More

Very scenic and our daughter downloaded an app that gave us a general tour as we wound our way around the 17 miles. The advice I would give is make sure you stop and visit the golf shops, bars and restaurants of all the courses....More

What time would I start the 17 mile drive (is there only one entrance?) so that I'd arrive at the resort to have lunch in one of the restaurants around 1:00 p.m.? We plan to do it in a leisurely way.

Hi, unioncity314. What would you like to know about this attraction? Were there places to use a bathroom along the 17 miles?

There are restaurants but this isn't really a place to do that. My opinion is to stop somewhere before taking the drive. If you need you can always stop for a drink or lunch and use the restroom

Come up Highway one if you have the time and keep your eyes on the road. As regarding where to stay, depends on what you were doing. Monterey, downtown, hotel pacific Carmel, go online and see what suits you
