We visited the aquarium on Easter Sunday, and it was very busy. Despite the crowds, we were blown away by the sea life collection - the sheer size of the tanks (one holds a hammer head shark and tuna!) is worth the visit. There's also a great touch area for small children to get interactive and various smaller tanks that... More

The Best. Very Crowded at the end. Get here when it opens. We wanted to stay longer but too many people, but this is definitely the best aquarium we've been to, ever!

We made a family trip to visit the aquarium on Thursday 20, it was a wonderful experience for kids and adults. The aquarium has a large variety of fauna and very interesting exhibits including Baja (Viva Baja). In the outside resting area, you can watch birds, sea otters and, if you are lucky, some tale splashing from whales (get binoculars)... More

Of all the aquariums i've been to, this is my absolute favorite. They have an amazing jellyfish collection which i love to watching so many events going on during the day: talks about manta rays, sharks, diving show (pretty cool), and much more. It's my favorite aquarium, every other one feels the same to me, but this one is special.... More

First of all, let me preface this by saying I've wanted to see this location for many years for a myriad of reasons. I was NOT disappointed. The sheer variety of exhibits kept the tour exciting. There are encounters outside as well as inside the aquarium. We even saw seals in the ocean! I highly recommend that you visit given... More

My family and I recently visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium during our vacation. We were very excited only to be disappointed. It wasn't as big as we thought it'd be, and there's wasn't a lot to do. We walked around the whole aquarium in an hour and a half. Great for families with children, not so much adults.

Definitely want to plan to be here a few hours to take full advantage. If you are a local, check with your public library... More
