I love this theater although it apparently is in danger of closing. It has old time charm and beautiful frescos on the walls. Afternoon movies are a bargain at $7 (Monday-Thursdays before 6 pm). Lots of artsie movies show here but also some main stream. Parking can be a challenge but worth it.

The Allied Arts is a place with a collection of shops that it was site of an old hacienda. It has an old barn, the "Barn Woodshop", that dates from the 1880's. The place also has a restaurant and it's a wonderful place to hold an event, such as a wedding.

What a lovely place with beautiful gardens and shops. Lunch was delicious--as always. The waiter was very helpful.

This place is a little version of Filoli garden tucked away in the residential area of Menlo Park. Not a lot of people know about it unless you live close by. Have a lot of art and artsy collection. Great place to relax and stroll too.

Very nice garden with small fountain and a cafe. The main purpose of this place seems to be those art shops selling local artists' work. Nice to take a look, but overpriced in my opinion. Recommended for visiting, not recommended for shopping.

This is a very hidden, quiet, garden-laden shopping area tucked into a residential neighborhood. It is a wonderful place to walk around and stick your nose in a few shops, but don't miss the wonderful Blue Garden Cafe and its outdoor patio.

I was surprised by the beautiful gardens & well cared for property. This was my first visit even though I've lived in the Bay area for a long time. There are many carefully designed seating areas within the garden to quietly sit & enjoy the garden or house views. Several artisan studios were open for viewing, the gallery specializes in... More

Tucked away from the rest of the world the grounds and shops are charming but the restaurant serves the Children's Hospital and is run by the Menlo Atherton Ladies Aux. Food is good but the atmosphere and philanthropic nature of the place is hard to beat.

A great place for lunch, especially if the weather is right for al fresco dining. After your meal there are many interesting things to see. The menu is light and perfect for lunch, very tranquil.

Four of us old friends came here for a cozy lunch to renew our friendship and share our recent news and visions about Friendshipology. Food was simple but excellent. We had Monte Cristo sandwich and burgers. Very finely prepared. Burger was juicy and thick. The bun was soft and easy to bite. The environment was of course beautiful and quiet.
