Very lovely area with great walking trails in many areas. Quiet and peaceful. I great place to get away from it all!

The road swerves up and down a lot and speed is often limited in sharp curves but the views are spectacular and the turn arounds and look-outs plentiful.

Walked the state park beaches on a sunny day and couldn’t stop taking pictures. NB, “glass beach” is not loaded with little glistening treasures. But who cares. We saw gray whales spouting.

I went on long walks with my dog - such a dramatic coastline! Also, tracked the areas where East of Eden was filmed. I had a great time!

Amazing vistas with stunning views. Quaint and quiet this time of year. Relaxing. Cute shops and restaurants.

I’m not a shopper, but I always return to Mendocino to walk the headlands, whale-watch, birdwatch, and spend time along the beach and Big River confluence. Just beautiful and serene!

This area is worth spending time to walk along the water's edge. Lots of beautiful spots to stop along the way, and take in the birds, or just gaze at the endless beach front.

There are several walks along the coast. Actually I think the one in Fort Bragg is nicer than the one in Mendocino. Also, the private garden walk in Fort Bragg is worth the admission price.

It should be easy this time of year but in the summer you must book to get a good hotel or guest cottage.
